Kshay Valley
- Kshay is Hindi for ‘decay’, named by the Araline not the Rousebuck. It’s a large valley located between the bases of two mountains surrounded by an expanse of forests. Along its edges there are singing towers, its song echoing in the winds. There is a deep river running though the middle, smaller shallower ones breaking off here and there. There are caves in the base of the mountains, one has since become a small cave system, used by the Videshee. The Videshee were a small group of Rousebuck with a genetic mutation that resulted in their faces not growing skin. Now only two remain and have become Ancestors. They care for the Valley and those who find themselves within, purposefully or otherwise.
- Life is scarce in the valley, but it’s there. Alongside the Videshee, there are some canines called the Aakraamak. Like the Videshee they too have skull faces, due to something in the valleys water. They are wild animals that fend for themselves and their packs of five, on occasion leaving the valley on the hunt for food. They never stray far from the valley however.
- Elder Araline who are coming to the end of their lives often make the choice to make a pilgrimage to the Kshay valley. Here they are looked after by the Videshee until their passing, wishes on how they are dealt with after are respected. The Videshee have buried Araline, fed them to other creatures of the valley and buried the bones or even have some be cast down the river. The Araline in question is the one to make that choice. Sometimes the Araline does not disclose any passing wishes. When this happens the Videshee move the body after death to an area they consider sacred, along with any others who never gave a wish. Their bodies are under the Videshee’s protection. They will not be moved nor desecrated by others.
- Sometimes Araline are cast to the Valley as punishment, or rather a Death Sentence. Most Araline colonies refuse to even entertain this idea for a punishment, however some still use it. It’s often reserved for traitors or those who may put their colony at risk of danger. Sometimes an overthrown Alpha even gets left here, to fend for themselves.
Éternel Glade
- This is a large clearing within the main forest. There is a lake with a few streams leaving it, as well as a waterfall leading from the start of the mountain range here.
- It is a peaceful area protected by Prime, the Ancestor Rousebuck. He is thought to be the oldest one, perhaps even the first.
- Under no circumstances are fights or hunts allowed here. The Glade is a safe place on Sacred ground.
Harmonieux Fields
- Large flower fields containing many types of flowers, situated in the middle of two woods of different types.
- The fields are taken care of by Proserpina. She loves flowers and make sure they are well looked after.
- While others are welcome to pick the flowers, sometimes for use in medicine or maybe just decorating; Proserpina doesn’t want anyone harming the fields as a whole.
- Was once a large forest full of life. Now an area of scorched land, flaming bushes and trees.
- Off-Limits to Araline lest they risk their life or well-being.
- Char is not a friendly Ancestor. His home set alight, his face burnt and melted; he does not trust the Araline.
